Guest acantril Posted March 31, 2010 Report Posted March 31, 2010 Im new to using roms. I was wondering if anyone has found a good way to switch between cyanogen and the desire rom without having to backup everything, wipe, and flash the other rom... Easiest way is to maintain 2 nandroid backups on the SDCARD and wipe/restore - takes 2 minutes tops... dont know of anything easier than that.
Guest thebroom Posted March 31, 2010 Report Posted March 31, 2010 that sounds good... how do you manage your contacts, calls, applications, etc?
Guest AndyCr15 Posted March 31, 2010 Report Posted March 31, 2010 Applications, Titanium Backup Contacts, surely they're in Google now? Calls and texts I use Sprite Backup. Android by far has the easiest system for switching ROM's, it's like the whole thing was designed for you to be able to do so. :P
Guest thebroom Posted April 1, 2010 Report Posted April 1, 2010 if you do a nandroid backup, what is actually saved in the backup? Does it revert your phone to the exact state (apps, gallery restored)?
Guest AndyCr15 Posted April 1, 2010 Report Posted April 1, 2010 Yup, basically. Text messages, call logs etc. Apps, depends on if you have Apss2SD I guess, but then you can backup ext too.
