Guest Wilkcos Posted March 31, 2010 Report Posted March 31, 2010 I admit too, I couldn't help but indulge in the 2.1 roms. Now back with MCR 3.2 made me realise how good this rom is.
Guest miragebg Posted March 31, 2010 Report Posted March 31, 2010 (edited) Same here, I just realized how damn good 3.2b5 is too... Edited March 31, 2010 by miragebg
Guest stevenz Posted March 31, 2010 Report Posted March 31, 2010 I'm using Villain 5.0 (ported from the Sprint CDMA 2.1) and it's actually very snappy, battery life seems good too. No issues to speak of. I've tried most of the 2.1 ROMs and this seems to be the best to date. Should be interesting to see how much better the GSM Hero ROM is when it finally comes out with a proper updated kernel. _Hopefully_ the official Hero build will be out later this month, but we've been fooled before...
Guest VictorBR Posted April 1, 2010 Report Posted April 1, 2010 Me too, I've been using 2.1 ROMs (Villain 5.0 was the last)... but now I'm back to Modaco 3.2. Like you guys are saying, I realized this ROM is the best out there, by far. Cheers to Paul and the Modaco community for this great ROM.
Guest Posted April 1, 2010 Report Posted April 1, 2010 Yes me too, couldn't resist the power of 2.1. I have tried Legendary v1.3.5, Villain 4.0 and 5.02. But I'm back at MCR 3.2. Love this ROM!
Guest padstar Posted April 1, 2010 Report Posted April 1, 2010 Yeah me too. Spent a couple of weeks trying 2.1 ROMS before the realization hit me that I really wanted a stable and fast ROM. Back to 3.2 and no regrets. :P
Guest ilbulgaro Posted April 1, 2010 Report Posted April 1, 2010 the same here....a MCR is 4 ever...xD
Guest phillevy Posted April 1, 2010 Report Posted April 1, 2010 I must admit that as official 2.1 day looms closer, I've started to get a bit hesitant about "rocking the boat" when 3.2 along with Swype beta work so wonderfully well. It will take something really special to make the Hero run better than it is now.
Guest Duglim Posted April 2, 2010 Report Posted April 2, 2010 also back to MCR3.2 after 4 Weeks of near-daily flashing different 2.1 roms. 2.1-Phone was not reliable enough in the end (random reboots, missing calls, ...) and i went back to MCR3.2 just to try it. Now Im thrilled with its speed, responsivness and not one single bug. Ill stay with Paul and apologise for cheating the last weeks. :-)
