Guest Maksymilian Posted April 5, 2010 Report Posted April 5, 2010 (edited) Currently using Gmail app for personal and HTC mail for work accounts. HTC Hero Rooted MCR 3.1 When browsing on the web and come across an image I want to share via email it seems that its only possible to do this via HTC Mail and not the Gmail app. Is there anyway I can change this to include Gmail? Many thanks Maksy Edited April 5, 2010 by Maksymilian

Many thanks Maksy I've never used HTC's mail app so this is a bit of a guess, but have you tried going to Settings -> Manage Applications -> Scroll to HTC Mail and click "Clear defaults". It sounds like the first time you shared via email you selected HTC Mail and checked the "Set as default" box. Maybe... :P

Guest hp1 Posted April 6, 2010 Report Posted April 6, 2010 (edited) Looks like this is an HTC function rather than Android as I cant do it either; it would be interesting to hear from those using non HTC 2.1 ROMs to see what options they get? Looks like the only work around is to save the image first then attach it to an email. Edited April 6, 2010 by hp1

However, try to share a link and you get a popup asking how you ant to complete the action - via Mail (HTC) or Compose (Gmail).
