Guest Spawn Freak Posted April 7, 2010 Report Posted April 7, 2010 hey guys, i have an i900 omnia used by my dad. it has default WinMo 6.1 Version i900DDHJ2. Now, I wanna sell it tomorrow probl'y and want the phone to look good and feel good and speedy while using. Also, the touch screen must be better than the stock rom. It has no 8gb memory inside (samsung people removed it and i came to know about it after the warranty period ended). I want the phone to look like this (windows mobile 6.5) Please remember, the phone must feel speedy and better touch senstivity. Also, after flashing, is there any way to go back to the stock 6.1 Rom (if i dont like the ROM) Please people reply ASAP because i have to sell this phone

Guest iolax Posted April 29, 2010 Report Posted April 29, 2010 "It has no 8gb memory inside (samsung people removed it and i came to know about it after the warranty period ended)." I don't get it... so the 8gb storage was defective & u didn't have it replaced?
Guest Jumba Posted April 29, 2010 Report Posted April 29, 2010 ???? OCK's premium will not install on only 50MB internal memory. Are you sure?
Guest adhip Posted April 29, 2010 Report Posted April 29, 2010 Just look at those custom ROMs pages, usually they have screenshot about the main memory ie (from Pdhee's ROM) : http://img442.imageshack.us/img442/8041/888l05.jpg THe ROM installed in the main memory not in the 8 or 16 GB internal disk. If you have similar display (storage total : > 150 & program total : >97) then it should be safe to flash custom ROM ( the "in use" memory shows how much memory the ROM take). There's a slight chance that fresh new ROM may detect your 8 GB ROM - if it's just undetected not actually removed Well unless it's not real Omnia or it has hw problem.
Guest Spawn Freak Posted April 30, 2010 Report Posted April 30, 2010 Then you don't have an Omnia but an Chinese lookalike. Alright here is the sequence, Dad bought Samsung Omnia 8GB (unbranded and unlocked, no contract) for US$620 (shitty investment) with 1 year warranty Few months later, the motherboard went off and phone sent to service center (within warranty period) Phone came back with new motherboard, WinMo 6.1 Few month later, dad came to know that the internal 8GB memory chip is not recognized. Service centre people say the 8Gb memory chip is absent (samsung people forgot to install it when they changed the motherboard) Unfortunately, warranty period has also ended. I'm stuck with 50MB internal memory.
