Yes, I'm talking about stuff like Copilot Live or Sygic. Did some one try any of them, on the liquid ? (vanilla rom, so android 1.6)

Do they work well ? (Crashes ? Voice available ?)

And most importantly, will they still work, after updating to the future android 2.1 rom ?

Tried AndNav2...works great (for a free version). But sorry, didn't try the other systems.

I've been using CoPilot for quite some time. Works very well now (there were some teething problems originally such as turns being announced too late). Voice is available and since CoPilot uses samples not the built-in text-to-speech it's very clear and audible. It's a relatively cheap way to go also if you want lots of international maps compared with, for example, a TomTom with both UK+USA maps CoPilot with the extra map is about 80% cheaper. I've had some issues with re-installation after upgrading from the G1 which was to do with device-specific data on the sdcard and required me to wipe all of the map data stored on the card before re-installing and then downloading the maps again which took some time but that's the only issue I've experienced.

what the hell is wrong with MY phone. I was using co pilot just fine one 1.6 and i try out the new LCR 1.3 using 2.1 .00086 bin or something like that and I keep getting the damn code cannot run on your system error on installation.

I tried deleting maps and then installing it again. No go.

I don't know what to do. Any help would be appreciated.

Did you try it on the new bin without the LCR update?

it works fine. I had to update to a newer version for android 2.1 to be compatible. I still think IGO is the best navi though.

I spoke too soon. Seems my navi software is running backwards. My compass is jacked up. Anyone else seeing the the direction moving down while navigating instead of up. This is really pissing me off. I had this problem on the previous 2.1 bin too. I never had this issue in 1.6.

Wow i had this issue too, i thought it was only because i used the navi right after i installed the new bin and the compass wasnt initialized properly yet or something but a lot of people seem to have that problem.

It works sometimes though.

Didn't happen in Angio's 2.1 leak at all.
