Guest bigklan Posted April 8, 2010 Report Posted April 8, 2010 Hey All, I've kept on this forum since the early days of teh pulse! I love messing about with mine and I'm happy with it. I've always been really dissapointed with email on it (I used k9 mail as it was teh best I found). Finally I found an app that really is AWESOME! So good in fact that I had to post and share it with all of you! it's called SEVEN and you have to join their 'beta' program to use it. seriously - if you are as frustrated with email as I was - this is teh answer! www.seven.com - http://www.seven.com/products.mobile.email.html Free plug for them for finally answering my need! Hope this is cool to post - I'm not affiliated - just a happy camper! Karl.
Guest giryan Posted April 8, 2010 Report Posted April 8, 2010 Sounds a bit interesting, but is it actually an email client? It sounds more like they take all of your email, and then push it to you? I'm really not interested in that :/
Guest psionandy Posted April 8, 2010 Report Posted April 8, 2010 I have Push email, calendar, contacts sync on my android powered pulse at the moment. What benefit would i get for paying seven to sit in the middle for me? btw.. they're the company that is 'responsible' for the Email on 3 service....
Guest bigklan Posted April 8, 2010 Report Posted April 8, 2010 I don't really care what they do in teh background. All I know is the email interface is SIGNIFICANTLY better than anything else I have experiences on the pulse. easy to flick between accounts, easy to add accounts and change folders. supports on-peak/off-peak... Basically I like it. Why not try it for yourself?
Guest helikopter Posted April 8, 2010 Report Posted April 8, 2010 i used seven while i was on windows mobile to have push gmail on my phone and for the most part it worked quite well. but since android's native gmail client is the best gmail experience on a mobile phone i can't find any reason why to use it now. maybe if you use another email service like yahoo or hotmail and you really need push email for your account then it's worth a try but that's all.

Basically I like it. Why not try it for yourself? Because I don't really want to hand the entire contents of all of my emails out to a third party? If that's what it's doing, I'm not really sure, which is why I asked in the first place.
Guest bigklan Posted April 8, 2010 Report Posted April 8, 2010 I certainly am not using it for push mail... Although - obviously it does that... I just really like the interface and how I can manage emails! I really don't use gmail (although I do have a gmail account for teh phone) but I have multiple other accounts (work, 2 personal, etc) and this makes it really easy to see where I am at - it keeps the last 30 days (what i have set it for) of emails rather that the top 25 and doesn't necessarily download all the emails - just the ones you want, it is really easy to flick between accounts - and what seems to be really baasic but really missing in k9 is teh ability to copy text out from an email! If you use gmail - good for you - f you don't and are putting up with k9 or the nativve email client and think it is bunk (as I did) give this a try.

Guest robot1000 Posted April 8, 2010 Report Posted April 8, 2010 Would this use as much battery power as 'background data'?
Guest bigklan Posted April 9, 2010 Report Posted April 9, 2010 although you said something else before, this all starts to look like aggressive marketing. Get stuffed. - I'm over this. Just thought I would share a discovery of something that actually is half decent compared to what really is quite half-arsed out there...
Guest giryan Posted April 9, 2010 Report Posted April 9, 2010 OK, in that case does anyone else know if this means that you give SEVEN all of your email? i.e. are you just downloading email to your device, or are they downloading all your mail, and then feeding it to you?
