Guest thealexweb Posted April 10, 2010 Report Posted April 10, 2010 I'm want to change the noise when someone sends me a message on Google Talk, the sound file is in Ogg which Android supports and I out it in the ringtones folder on the SD card but it doesn't appear in the list of available ringtones to change it to. What am I doing wrong?
Guest Azurren Posted April 10, 2010 Report Posted April 10, 2010 I'm want to change the noise when someone sends me a message on Google Talk, the sound file is in Ogg which Android supports and I out it in the ringtones folder on the SD card but it doesn't appear in the list of available ringtones to change it to. What am I doing wrong? I never did figure out how to add tunes to that list. Download "RingDroid" from the market, select the track you want to use and click "Save" (Without editing) when saving it will ask you if you want to use it as anything (Ringtone, notification etc.) Hope this helps
Guest Wolverine007 Posted April 11, 2010 Report Posted April 11, 2010 Hi, I'm using rings extended for changing my ringtones. It's in the market. Wolverine007
Guest batch_2001 Posted April 11, 2010 Report Posted April 11, 2010 if you play the ringtone in the music player, press the menu key, the select "more" you can set the file as a ringtone. Not sure this helps with the notification tones mind! The app sounds the way to go.
Guest Ozymandias Posted April 12, 2010 Report Posted April 12, 2010 (edited) I'm using Ringo for SMS notifications. The only problem is that I get the Android system notification before the Ringo notification. There does not seem to be a silent/no notification option in Settings/Sound & display/Notification ringtone. Edited April 12, 2010 by Ozymandias
