So I just pulled the framework-res.apk from alpha21, replaced those 3 png's, pushed, rebooted and it worked. Bah!

What did I do wrong with the Morph then??

I think, desire ROMs have a Problem with Metamorphing from Framwork-res.apk

Send a mail to stericson or twitter @stericson

He makes the programm Metamorph.

P.S.: I know, that framework-res.apk must be the last change in your *.thm file. Check your *.thm. Probably this fixes your errors.

Has anyone else successfully morphed framework?

What does this mean?

In the zip file for metamorph is a *.thm file.

There is a list, which *.apks are changed with this morph.

The last should be the framework-res.apk

I don't think so. The last line is the path, the second to last line is the apk name.

I know this for a fact because I am using cortez's transparent HTC Clock Widget, which has the thm set up in this way.

You must take both lines for the *.apk at last..... ;)

I know this for a fact because I do some Metamorph Themes myself. Have a look at this forum and XDA. I share them all.

What? Grammatically, I'm having a hard time understanding this.

Can you link to your Morphs on XDA?

Also, are you saying Cortez's morph that I linked is incorrect? If so, why does it work?

Er, no.

I've said that every app, which become changes, have two lines in the .thm file.

First line is the apk name, second line is the directory to this apk.

Both lines for the framework-res.apk must be at the end of your .thm file

As I've said: my Themes are on this forum here, too.

You could easily search them. I'm with nexus online.

Ok, maybe it's easier if we're looking at the thm files.

Here's Cortez's:

HtcClkWidgetMorphTransBackground

CM505

HtcClockWidget.apk

/system/app/

Here's mine:

StatusBarTransparent

CM505

framework-res.apk

/data/system-framework/

Can you modify both of these to what they SHOULD be so they are correct?
