Guest clange50 Posted April 11, 2010 Report Posted April 11, 2010 Hey all, is there a way to make it so the screen doesn't dim while locked? Reg key or something?
Guest gorf1000 Posted April 11, 2010 Report Posted April 11, 2010 Hey all, is there a way to make it so the screen doesn't dim while locked? Reg key or something? The short answer is "no". Unfortunately it appears that this is a non-configurable setting in the Windows lock screen. What's supposed to happen is that the screen will brighten when clicked however that does not appear to work on this ported version. I've hunted for hours through the XDA forums and the web in general and have not turned up anything that works. If you find something definitely let us know.

I long press the end key when I need to brighten the lock screen. That's the best I've come up with unfortunately.
Guest Sb. Posted April 11, 2010 Report Posted April 11, 2010 Try using S2U2 which has full brightness on lock screen but otherwise my best advice would be to set your sensitivity level up on the phone or lock slider. Cheers!

Yeah, I noticed that. I'd rather have it the normal brightness since it's only on for like 10-20 seconds anyway. I wonder why they didn't put that option in. Anyway, thanks for the input all.

Cheers! I have loved S2U2 and used it since I actually ran the stock WM 6.1 ROM (that was a long time ago), but I've recently had to stop using it since I'm using a M2D ROM and with S2U2 it would frequently cause M2D to shut down and restart when unlocked. I love the M2D interface so I had to sacrifice M2D. Honestly the WM lock screen is not too bad, I miss the message preview and multiple calendar items but other than that it's acceptable.
