sense keys below screen help with the r21 ROM???

Hey everyone,

I'm sorry if this was already answered, but I was just curious if there was a way to keep the sense keys to stay on longer on the r21 sense rom....With my nexus and the desire rom, the sense keys rarely ever light up. Is that the rom? I dont remember it doing on the cynogen rom....can someone please help! or direct me to making them stay on longer...thank you so much in advance!
