Guest FelipeRRM Posted April 13, 2010 Report Posted April 13, 2010 Hey guys, I have my PC runing under Windows 7, and I saw you need some quite complex process to get a ROM update on it. Thing is mine is Ultimate x64, and I have the XP moder for it. Can I use it, following the step-by-step for Windows XP without bigger problems? Another thing, what's the difference between a ROM and a theme? Can I get a new theme without updating the ROM? Thing is I've already lost an Omnia while trying to update it, and I want to improve it, but I'm very afaid of loosing another. Thanks guys!

First of all sorry all other members but im going to write in portuguese.... ;) i don`t want to burn my brain today ;) Boas, Não tens problemas em actualizar a rom com o win7. 1º Baixas a rom que pretendes.

Thanks guys! hello. flshing in windows 7 x64 ultimate is easier than using xp. if you just want a theme, without changing the rom, i recommend SPB Mobile Shell 3.5.3 and Naong Mobile Sense. You will have a brand new omnia ;). try it and give us a feedback ;). here are some pictures. It's true i'm using OCK's 21898 UL, but the effect is the same on all versions. Guest FelipeRRM Posted April 15, 2010 Report Posted April 15, 2010 How can I change a theme without updating the ROM? And what's the purpose in updating the ROM if you can change anything with a theme? And how is it easier in Windows 7 thans in XP ? I read in the fixed topic that you even need the XP iso!!

Obviously, friend, changing a rom is not a matter of... theme! You changing the software (firmware), you changing (maybe) the stability, the speed, etc.
Guest FelipeRRM Posted April 20, 2010 Report Posted April 20, 2010 So guys, what is M2D, Titanum, and all those names which come with the ROM?
