Guest dwattsy21 Posted April 14, 2010 Report Posted April 14, 2010 Hi Guys, Firstly, this isn't another "when is it going to be out" thread. I was just wondering what the best thing to do is when it gets released. If an official update gets sent to me, should I install that? Or will this mess up my phone at all (e.g. un-root it). If so will it be better waiting for a customer one to be made? Or is it going to be easy enough to go to custom ones if I do install an official release? Hope that makes sense, I just want to know what to do before the big day comes! Thanks, Dave

He says not to accept the ota because it will prevent you from using any custom roms in the future, or atleast that was the jist. Just wait for mcr (if there is one coming) or use one of the many good 2.1 roms that are already out. If you aren't using the Stock rom then you popably wont get the ota anyway.
