someone teach me how to stop the sms ringtone

i bought my omnia 2 yesterday and i immediately set my favourite sms ringtone,but it wont stop after i read my sms,it keep on playing until the end.someone teach me how to stop the ringtone pls

You newbie user, right, friend?

Start>Settings>Sound & Notifications>Notifications... Sellect from the first pop-up the SMS option, go to the pop-up bellow, sellect your favorite ringtone and also uncheck the flash option (about the secs the ringtone rings).

It's pretty much easy, mate.

I dont think he was asking about setting the ringtone but rather how to stop it once it has already started. As far as I know you cant.

ohhh........so i need to cut my ringtone short is it?is there no other way?
