A few questions/wishes about omnia's manilla :D

hello everybody, I was curious about porting the new(by now not that new ;) ) sense from the hd2(i know that there are already threads about this)

I know that because it requires the 3d graphic chip and because of that, it probably, will be very hard if not impossible to port (a lot of thanks to the developers who are trying to accomplish this)

but i was actually interested in the new tabs specifically the e reader tab or documents, and the gallery one for the images and video clips (I think this might require 3d acceleration) or the tab for the music player, also if someone could make the messages tab bigger would be nice, I was also thinking, that it would be nicer if we could swaype directly to the next tab instead of having to use the bottom bar(that would free up some space too)

those are just a few thoughts and so i was wandering if anybody knows anything about this, if it could be done or something like this.

I realize that this probably involves quite a lot of work and significant knowledge in programing but i also thought that it wouldn't hurt to ask.

i apologies if there are similar topics or if my questions are simply wishful thinking. ;)

If you like TouchFLO (like me and many others), flash a rom with M2D included or install M2D ("Classic", if you ask me).

Forget any "3D" TouchFLO for i900ers. It's a dream... Beautiful, but dream.

I already have a rom with M2D for a long time, but as I said before i would have liked a bigger messages screen and the newer thc album..for photos or the player for videos and music.

Never will happen. The app needs to be ported and that mean change of resolution as well as change the type of touch input as the HD2 uses multitouch for its album viewer. So short answer is that it will never happen. Look at Resco Photo Manager for something good Link. You can do slight customizing to the manila skin as well as add and remove tabs using M2DC.

You can only edit these files (png) to enlarge the message frame or the photos' frame...

It's not impossible or difficult, but also it's not "piece of cake" too.
