Guest gusguts44 Posted April 20, 2010 Report Posted April 20, 2010 Well this morning I was on the internet on my onmia i910 just fine (Opera 9). At lunch time when i went to use it again I got an error message. Ok no problem i thought. But when I clicked on my Today button I noticed that none of my cab files icons pics where being displays, rather a blank looking piece of paper is shown. So none of my cab files work at all. The error message reads The File X cannot be opened. Either it is not signed with a trusted certificate,or one of its componets cannot be found. please help
Guest thekevster Posted April 20, 2010 Report Posted April 20, 2010 were those cabs installed to my storage or storage card? if so, then it might have been formatted, or it might have been corrupted, or the phone is just failing to recognize them
Guest Skel1t Posted April 20, 2010 Report Posted April 20, 2010 Hi, Try looking with the phone's file explorer if you have both "My Storage" and "My Storage 2". If so, be sure that there's no important data of yours in "My Storage", delete it, and soft reset the phone. "My storage 2" should be re-named automaticly back to "My Storage" as it is the real mass storage. Good luck.
Guest gusguts44 Posted April 21, 2010 Report Posted April 21, 2010 I Figured whats going on with my phone, but dont know how to fix it. So anything i saved in my storage i can only use it once, after i turn off the phone ill get the dumb error message. Anything i save in my device is good. So there is something wrong or corrupt in my storage.
Guest gusguts44 Posted April 25, 2010 Report Posted April 25, 2010 bump still having this problem, called Verizon and they seemed baffled
Guest tractor101 Posted April 25, 2010 Report Posted April 25, 2010 What ROM?? You may need to install sdkcerts.cab ??
Guest OzzyW Posted April 26, 2010 Report Posted April 26, 2010 I have the same problem. I can install apps without a problem, and I can use them for a short period of time. Then without warning the icons aren't recognized anymore and they look like "normal exe's". Clicking on it results in the error: The file 'x' cannot be opened. Either it is not signed with a trusted certificate etc etc etc Using Ock's ROM DXID1 Build 23551, but I've experienced it with other ROMS aswell as of late. I already tried installing SDKCERTS.cab several times as well, without luck! I have only 1 My Storage folder and 1 Storage Card folder.. I always install into My Storage since the beginning that I had my phone (dec 2008), and now this ! it's really starting to get annoying and taking away a lot of fun using this phone, since most programs don't work anymore  Does ANYONE know what's wrong, and better, what to do about it ?? Thanks in advance!!! Oz

Guest SilverPony2001 Posted April 28, 2010 Report Posted April 28, 2010 Backup My storage to PC, format My Storage from PC, copy backup back to phone.
Guest gusguts44 Posted May 1, 2010 Report Posted May 1, 2010 Figured out the problem. go to setting, then hard reset, perform the action on my storage and everything should work from then on.
Guest OzzyW Posted May 1, 2010 Report Posted May 1, 2010 Backup My storage to PC, format My Storage from PC, copy backup back to phone. I followed this tip and it resulted in my My Storage to be dismounted! I couldn't see the drive from Omnia or PC  I did a format with the reset button + answer and end key, and everything was ok. I did make a full back up of course  Thanks gusguts! I'll try that next time I am in this situation :P
