Google Maps Navigation now working in UK

How can we download to find out? I'm a bit behind the curve on the navigation for android.

That is good news -

It's for Android 1.6 and higher though according to this

Although the article doesn't mention UK availability, so it's out of date, it seems unlikely that they will backport the functionality to 1.5 (even if it could support it) given the "pending" updates from so many manufacturers. I guess it's another reason to look forward to the 2.x Huawei update(s)...

It's working for me like dream on my Desire. Obviously it's not quite as polished as on my Tom Tom XL but it's free, so who's complaining. All I need now is a car holder and an extra long power cord ;)

It needs Android 1.6 or higher so it won't work on the Pulse.

Bit off topic but does google navigation need constant 3g coverage? Like for loading maps and re routing?

3g and general coverage is low and constantly dropping while driving.
