Problems with SMS

Hello,

I use the SMS backup app and the stock Message app. I get 3 emails:

1) I send an SMS

2) I get a reply

3) I get a duplicate reply

If I reply to the message, I don't get an email. I used to get one so I'm wondering if the SMS is actually being sent and not just showing me the message I could have sent. There doesn't appear to be an outbox, so I've no idea whether the SMS has gone or not.

I want to know if I'm actually sending these messages.

I looked back in February and it had appeared to be working back then, but I've only just realised that maybe a lot of my messages never reached their targets.

You mention emails, but presumably you do mean SMS...

Can you tell us what ROM you have (menu - settings - about phone)

With v1.5 of Android on my Hero if an SMS does not send you get an exclamation mark (!) in a triangle on that message. Long-press on that message and you'll get an option to "retry sending" (or something like that).

Have you tried sending messages and replies to a friend, so you know when they've got your message and when they replied.
