Guest flatpro Posted April 21, 2010 Report Posted April 21, 2010 Hey, I have a major problem with my Pulse, when I start it I get two error messages as follows The process com.google.gapps has stopped unexpectedly please try again The process com.google.acore has stopped unexpectedly please try again I clear the first one, then the second, but the second acore error keeps showing and restarts the home screen in about 10 seconds repeatedly. I can't do anything on my phone! I don't have the december update, and I'm running what ever the stock rom is. If anyone could give me simple instructions on how to fix this that would be fantastic ;) Thanks David

Note that this will wipe your contacts, calender, installed apps and settings. If you have left data sync on then your contacts and calender will be backed up. If you want to keep your apps you can manually back up but it may be easier to just reinstall them. Hope this helps

The problem is I can't use the phone as it keeps coming up with the same error and restarting the process. Do you know of a method to install the december update without booting into the phone?
Guest Azurren Posted April 22, 2010 Report Posted April 22, 2010 Hey, Thanks for your reply. The problem is I can't use the phone as it keeps coming up with the same error and restarting the process. Do you know of a method to install the december update without booting into the phone? Oh sorry then it gets a little more complicated. I have wrote a guide for someone with a similar problem to you here: http://android.modaco.com/index.php?s=&...t&p=1240044 There are others written on these forums but ofc I believe mine to be the best. This will wipe your phone as the above but will be worth it. Any problems feel free to ask. Note that your problem will be covered in your phones warrentie. You can hand it into a tmobile store and they will fix it. Again they will wipe it and it may take several weeks. Good luck

But when I attempt to boot into the boot loader I just get the same screen as before. I hold the red end call button and volume down button, do I have to press something else? Thanks, David

Guest flatpro Posted April 22, 2010 Report Posted April 22, 2010 make sure you press it hard enough and for long enough keep it down until it boots Hey, I have held both down for about 2mins, how long does it normally take to go into recovery mode? I still only get the blue boot screen
Guest Azurren Posted April 22, 2010 Report Posted April 22, 2010 (edited) Hey, I have held both down for about 2mins, how long does it normally take to go into recovery mode? I still only get the blue boot screen  After you have written to the blue boot screen you need to hold menu and red (end call buttons) while the phone turns on. It will take longer to boot into recovery than it does blue screen (ually after the first android screen) Edited April 22, 2010 by Azurren

It will take longer to boot into recovery than it does blue screen (ually after the first android screen) Hey, I couldn't boot into the boot loader without the december update, but I was able to enter the initial setup screen for Android by wiping the SD card (I think). From there I skipped the home screen and was able to access the setting menu and hence install the december update. I could then access the boot loader thing and I installed 1.8 from the online kitchen. So thanks for your help! The only problem I have is the phone is all in Spanish!!! Does anyone know how I should change it to English?
Guest flatpro Posted April 22, 2010 Report Posted April 22, 2010 okay, I have changed the language to English which is great. BUT I still get the error The process com.google.acore has stopped unexpectedly please try again, although its not every few mins rather then every 10 seconds. ... which still restarts whatever system app I'm using, like for example, text messaging and home screen Does anyone have any ideas?????????

Go back into custom recovery, wipe, then flash the 1.8 rom  This time the above really is easy :P Good luck
