New HTC Hero, just a few questions

Hey guys.. just got myself a rooted HTC Hero, and i've got a few questions before I start playing around with it. It's been rooted, and i want to format the SD card. Is there any problem with that? As well, I want to get my exchange email working with push. Is that possible, because this phone has SenseHero installed, and it doesn't want to push my emails, saying there's a sync error. Lastly, what's the best rom to install?

best hero rom for me is paul's MCR 3.2 rom, it's an android 1.5 rom, fast and bug free. there are plenty of 2.0 roms around but they are full of bugs, and they suck your battery...

what's the best 2.1 rom out there in terms of bugs and battery life? I've flashed over behero, and it's okay so far, but I don't really know what to look for...

i am using modaco 3.2 currently. and i always formating my SD with no problem. but maybe its just me.

sorry to say this man, i cant imagine i am saying this to someone newbie=="welcome to sad & whining club of illfated hero owners".u shd have done little research buddy & then have put in money in this dead model.

any way if u format ur sd u will be loosing apps 2 sd so be ready with that ( this means upper limit to the number of applications) best is mcr 3.2 none is better than that. i have no idea about push email as i use gmail & it does its job.
