in win7 you need to run the app with admin perms (right-click and select that option)

i don't have the need to put winxp compatibility mode

I tried it on my Liquid(0.010.00 bin) , using EDGE to connect is okay.

Yep, this happened to me 3-4 times - I just disabled the data connection and tried again and it worked...

So, if I flash this rom/bin/whatever with the Acer Download tool thingie, it's basically as simple as it has been to update the official 1.6 updates? And when the official release version 2.1 rom comes, it'll be as easy to update into it?

I haven't 3G on a place where i had it with the 0.008.06 ROM.

I'm with I-WIND too, but still with 0.008.06 and no problems at all, also in 3G and HSDPA.

Maybe new radio included in new leak has a different 3G band?

3g band are not the same everywhere...

GSM bands are 4, and with those 4 GSM bands you can call all over the world, where is a GSM phone system; but 3G is not the same everywhere, and I'm not sure the same as GSM, so all bands present on every phone...

Maybe this leak is from a phone intended for US or some strange Asian market (e.g. Japan)....

Ciao, Piero.

P.S. In the meantime I will wait to flash my phone...

With 0.008.06 i had no problems too. With new bin the connection works first time i boot phone. After disconnection, when i try to reconnect to Internet the connection don't works anymore: i see icons 3G/H in the panel bar, but i don't have Internet access. I don't think the problem is about radio band, because after any reboot connection works properly.

I really don't understand why in any new leaked rom there are so many new bugs... We are at the end of april, and one would expect a quite perfect rom! Acer want launch Liquid E by summer or next christmas?

Ciao :P

This leak is dated 253, so i think that in one month most of the bugs are fixed. Waiting for new Liquid_User leak :P

I think that Liquid E will be available in mid-May, because here in Italy, Vodafone has announced that Liquid E is going to be released around that date

I kept old 1.6 rom only a couple of days, so I have no feedback, but it seems that it worked without any problem...

Now I have the Xian 0.6b, and I'm quite happy...

Sometime (2-3 per week) I need to remove battery do reset the phone, some other time I have some temporary hang, but otherwise all works very well....

I'm waiting too the final rom with all bugs solved, but I'm altready quite happy with my Liquid...

Ciao, Piero.

yes. Though, I suggest doing that, and then installing one of the custom roms on top of it. The cooks optimize alot in the bin to make it run smoother and faster. I"m using LCR 1.4 right now. Please see the wiki on how to install it. Its really straight forward and all the files are included on the LCR site. The same process will apply to any other rom you want to install other than 1.4, but make sure you are using the appropriate bin and rom combination.

have fun!

Reflash the bin and rom and never restore data using titanium backup. Maybe restoring ONLY the apps is fine, but not data and apps or system data; that's a sure way to fail at life. I had the same problem, redownloading from market seems to have fixed the freeze up issue.

Yes, it's real fast!

There are still some laggy time but the overall performance is acceptable(from my point of view).
