Guest gavriel18 Posted April 22, 2010 Report Posted April 22, 2010 (edited) Hey all, I figured this would be another good place attract attention to our hunt for a dev to root our phone. Someone had mentioned Paul from here in regards to rooting so please join in the post and hopefully we can get the phone rooted asap. People have also been suggesting buying a phone for the dev with the bounty now... As I see it unless a proven chef posts on a thread this is a requirement I would be hesitant. But, if Paul or some other dev does ask for this I am willing to help with this. I dont know too much about paypal but I know its easy to get an X10 at any store in Ottawa, Canada and shipping would probably be cheaper within North America). And I did see Paul saying he likes the white one (thats what I got and it shouldnt be a problem to get another one from rogers). I will pm him to join in the thread, got my fingers crossed ;). The xda link for the root bounty thread: http://forum.xda-developers.com/showthread.php?t=651336 Oh and I don't think there's a need to repost your donation amounts, just a nod of support. If anyone has any thoughts or ideas please post them. Edited April 22, 2010 by gavriel18

I got an X10 for my wife anyway so getting root wasn't part of my purchasing decision. Getting root would be a pleasant addition.

Hang on in there a bit, Paul is just working on the Legend and Desire Root followed by a Rom for them, once that is done I'm sure he will look at the X10- he wouldn't have got one otherwise.
Guest GSeeker2 Posted May 5, 2010 Report Posted May 5, 2010 Paul comes to rescue again, very soon: :P @PaulOBrien: Now have a mountain of files and docs for the X10! Root looks possible (albeit unconventional) given time and the right tools.

Guest bluemoko Posted May 8, 2010 Report Posted May 8, 2010 ADB on X10 is not yet available on Windows, but working fine on Mac and OS X. I try to check all method for rooting 1.6 and no go. I think SEMC USB flash is promising if we could get into the flash mode do whatever we want. Just like SonyEricsson A200 platform with A2Uploader.
