Root problems

Here's the story.. I just rooted my Nexus ONe for the first time.. Was able to unlock it fine and would get the android with the yellow triangle whne I would select recovery in fastboot. If I booted normally, that would not show, that's fine but I still ranted to install the custom mods so I was persistent.

After unlocking and before installing the customer ROMs, I got this Cyanogen-Updater from the Android Market claiming that you can simply download the new updates and install it just fine. But I did not have access (I forgot what the exact message was) so I could not continue with the installation. (the file that it downloaded but failed to install was CM-5.0.6-N1)

The next day I did research on how to install the superboot and it worked jst fine. Went back to the CMUpdater and it installed CM-5.0.6-N1. I rebooted and it unpacked the file and installed the Cyanogen Mod (i figured it was the Cyanogen Mod because after rebooting, it showed the Nexus One logo-the one with the colored X with swirly lines from the sides going into the center forming an X then would slowly turn all light blue or CYAN) would it would just freeze before it could form a blue X and would just reboot) So I figured that it was a hanging loop-

Went back to the bootloader and recovery mode and did a WIPE of the phone... Now, it would just stay stuck at the nexus one logo (the one with the unlock icon below it) and nothing.. I would go into fastboot just fine but I now could not load the phone's OS.)

I sure hope I did not brick my phone that no one can help me. Sure hope I didn't turn my phone into a $529.00 paper weight..

Thanks,

Francis
