Use SMS to E-mail Gateway?

Hey,

I would like to be able to use T-mobile's SMS to E-mail gateway to send e-mails from my phone. I want to send e-mails via SMS vs MMS because SMS is faster and e-mails sent via SMS do not include all of T-mobile's junk logos.

I know by default T-mobile phones come configured (or at least they did the last time I bought one, about two years ago) to work with T-mobile's SMS to email gateway. The Omnia, on the other hand, always forces me to change the message type to MMS when entering an e-mail in the "To" field. Now I know I can manually use T-mobile's SMS to email gateway (send SMS to 500 with e-mail address and text in the body, which is then forwarded to the said e-mail address) but this is really a pain.

So, does anyone know how to activate/set the Omnia to make use of the SMS to e-mail gateway?
