Calls don't work anymore, I can't hear the other person and the other person can't hear me

I have a Hero with Modaco 3.2, radio v. 63.18.55.06JU_6.35.09.26 (kernel 2.6.27-mck-teknologist-1.92); I have Wi-Fi, Bluetooth and GPS always on.

I have a bluetooth system in my car and I have the phone's bluetooth always on for it, so it connects to the car when I'm driving.

But I have a weird problem that I've only experienced while the phone is or just was connected to the car. Sometimes when the phone is to the car system the "calling people" part of the phone doesn't work anymore. I can make calls, the phone rings normally but when the other person answers I can't hear anything they say and they can't hear anything I say. Once this happens I can't make any successful call (all of them exhibit this problem afterwards, we can't hear eachother) until I switch the phone into Airplane mode and then back again or I shutdown the phone and reboot, but this takes longer.

Do you have any suggestions as to what may be causing this ? (The car make is Seat and I didn't have this problem with my old phone, Nokia 3110c)

Please see my other issue, maybe they're related, I'm not sure.

You can try flashing the Radio ROM again, it seems a problem with your connectivity part.

Please do a Full Wipe and reflash your ROM i think this will solve your problems.

I performed a full wipe but since I had to do that I installed VillainRom 5.3 so I can have a look at Android 2.1 :huh:

The problem did not go away :P

I've tried flashing the previous radio version, some people reported that some of their issues went away with the previous version (63.18.55.06JU_6.35.08.29) but now the phone can't connect to the car anymore :blink:

The phone says that it's paired with the car but it's not connected, when I try to connect it just says "Bluetooth headset disconnected".

I realise I'm not using Modaco anymore but it looks like the problem is related to the radio more than the ROM :o
