You'll probably have to wait until the phone is rooted on install a different home screen app like aHome or OpenHome (I think there's a free Lite version).

Or, if it's just the widgets you don't like, you could simply remove them from your home screen.

Guest Ilan1 Posted April 25, 2010 Report Posted April 25, 2010 You can also try to remove the Sense completely, I think it's possible somewhere.
Guest crawler9 Posted April 25, 2010 Report Posted April 25, 2010 You can also try to remove the Sense completely, I think it's possible somewhere. While this was possible on older builds of Sense, it's been removed on 2.1 versions. This includes the both the Desire and the Legend. A home replacement app is your best bet for now. Once the device is rooted, it shouldn't be long before a senseless (lol) version of android 2.1 is ported over.
Guest h00pyfr00d Posted April 26, 2010 Report Posted April 26, 2010 You can install Launcher2 on it then use the Nexus launcher. I do that on mine now and again but the apps view is a bit sluggish with the Starwars effect on the icons.
Guest eViL D: Posted April 26, 2010 Report Posted April 26, 2010 (edited) You can download Helix Launcher from the Market. Go to manage apps, clear defaults for htc sense. Press home and then pick Helix Launcher. Then you basically have stock 2.1. No live wallpapers though. Edited April 26, 2010 by eViL D:
