Okay, few suggestions. Is anything moving/pressing the scroll ball at all? This could provide the problems you've been having..

Our it maybe an issue with the touch screen, try just using the scroll ball for a while. It maybe that something else is making contact with your screen (remember only touch it with one finger) give the screen a good clean or maybe remove the screen protector.

Try some of the above. How it helps

If I wasn't sure that this is impossible I'd say that somebody else is controlling your Pulse .... weird

What exactly happened?

Did you just hold your Pulse in your hand without touching anything?

Or did you touch the screen?

Greetings,

I've heard that some Chinese users have experienced problems with the pulse's touchscreen in high humidity environments: could this be the cause?

Hi guys yesterday after unpluging my phone from the charger I began to experience the same things, icons on the home screen dancing around like if they want to go to the recycle bin, scrolling home screens just kept flicking back and forth and self selecting apps while trying to scroll in the drawer, longpreesing home screen by it self so ADD TO HOME SCREEN kept appearing, when I went into the dialer it kept dialing the last call or what ever was highlighted, so i decided to do a full wipe of the phone, at first it wouldnt even let me wipe it kept saying Aborted but after a few more try's it finally let me wipe, but it did this for almost every funtion I tried, in the end I managed to do a full wipe re-partion the sd and flash the MCR 1.7 again, but the phone is still behaving weirdly as if someone else is controlling it, any other suggestions out there before I send it off to T-mobile.

Thanks.

Sounds like your screen is boned mate.. Have you removed the screen protector/polished the screen fully?

Install the december update to wipe all trace of custom rooms before sending it to tmobile

I actually have a very very mild form of the same problem. Sometimes when i open the app tray then quickly click on the to left icon (advanced task killer) then it opens the top right app (barcode scanner)

Yes I know it's nothing like your problem but out never used to do it..

Well I took my phone to the t-mobile store today to send it back but guess what, iv been using the phone since 7:30am this morn got to the store about 12:00 it is now 14:23 and the phone has been working perfectly no faults, glithing, no self-sellecting which was a bit embarrassing when trying to explain to customer help desk, I was advised to hold on to the phone just in case it was a minor glitch uuuummm!!!

Also wanted to know if Sreeramu got his working or did it just sort itself out too, im not gonna celebrate iv just got this feeling its gonna come back :P

@tonemgub

If you havn't already tried you may have to do the same, full wipe and reintstall of ROM and see how that goes.

If your rooted correctly you should be able to get to your recovery by holding red button+menu then power button.

I'm having 100% the same problem. after unplugging from charger. I have sent my pulse to t-mobile, they just wipe it, and send it back to me. Hope it will not happen again.

No problem glad I could help. :(

hello all, I'm from Chile and I have a Huawei U8220 and I have the same problem.

The touch screen goes crazy and just start moving icons to the Trash. I have performed several tests:

- At first I thought it was some application, so let the phone by default, without positive results.

- I remove the screen protector and cleaning. The continuing problem.

- I update the android to version 2.0 and after a time the problem happened again.

So this thinking is not a software problem but rather hardware .. Anyone have any news?

Reformate your SD and wipe the phone (darvik+ext+factory) and when reflash MCR 2.1 by Paul. If it won't work maybe an hardware-failure?

I'm having similar problems with touch input on the screen. When the device has been locked for a longer period of time and I open it, the screen won't react properly to touch input. Sometimes in doesn't register the touch at all and sometimes it register the input on another place than I touched it on. It only seem to come after the device has been in standby mode. The buttons always work. I have tried the original rom, december update and 2.1. I have wiped with Android system recovery. Hardware problem or software?
