(its just a personal opinion, it might be possible many of you think same)

hi friends...

every day there are new posts that i m moving to android... many of you are also thinking the same... many people are also disappointed with up coming win mo 7...

i m also very disappointed with Microsoft, because they are not doing anything revolutionary just developing newer builds every day which almost same as previous (last improvement was Threaded E-mail feature) and working hard on their unfinished win mo 7

i still use win mobile 6.1 dxia5 original rom... because i didn't find any advantage in 6.5.x roms (6.5 has nothing spacial except miner changes)

sorry to say but i think the end of win mo 6.xx series has come

the last win mo 6.5 mobile is htc hd 2 & mini...(i know there are some asus 6.5.3 phones but who care ???)

main thing is that all oem manufacturing mobile with Android (there are lots of upcoming mobile like HTC Desire, HTC Legend, Sony Ericsson XPERIA X10 & mini, LG GW620, Samsung I9000 Galaxy S, Samsung I5700 Galaxy Spica and finally Dell Thunder, Aero, Smoke and Flash and many of motorola mobiles) no one caring about win mo 6.xx series

samsung omnia 2 and lite were last win mo mobiles from samsung, now samsung is also concentration on android device

every day there is new builds from microsoft but no new devices.... why they developed win 6.5.3 i can't b able to find out

i m just worried about the future of win mo 6.xx series (which is highly customized os) and win mo 7 is just an iphone copy with diffrent ui (and with many other limitaions)

i think we gonna loss all freedom like ui modification everyday, reg. hacking, large user friendly app. supports

what do you all think plz post ur opinion

thanks

sorry for my bad english

Hahaha. My friend, what's this, a... tribute to a dead legend?

If MS desides to end the 6.x.x WM software, so be it! What's to worry about????? We don't own... MS stocks, are we?

If MS will "walk-on" with WM7, simply we'll change device, what's to worry and write a long post like this one?

Is pointless, that's I'm talking about.

Cheers and hope you didn't upset about my comments.

Andy.

well dear andy

its ur point of view about win mo and you r not wrong because this is what you think

but there are lots of people (including me) who feel comfortable with customization ability of win mo, who love win mo 6.xx series

means they can do what they exactly want... like flashing different roms according to their requirements, diff. keyboard, diff. dialer, diff. sms app. ui modifications, try different themes, diffrent apps, great support of developers

and any other os don't give us that much freedom

like when ever i m getting bor with my phone i try something different and that changed my phone for a while... there are lots ui application (spb mobile shell, point ui, iphone ui, infinity, touch flo 2d, s2u2, WAD2, Throttle Launcher )

this is freedom of customization.... n thats y i like win mo

and in future i want same freedom with more powerful device (now that seems little doubtful )...

n i just want to know whats others think about it

thanks

sorry for my bad english

Many? More like a mere handful. Sure, there was some controversy about "copy n paste" being taken out but Microsoft has put it back in (or it was never taken out in the first place). The Metro UI is probably not everyone's cup of tea but many like it.

I too was tempted to move to Android but I'm gonna wait for Windows Phone 7 to be released; it looks like one hell of an OS. For a milestone/beta version, it sure is stable and fast.

And of course they aren't gonna do anything "revolutionary" with WM6, it's an old OS, what would the point be?

There are indeed *many* people unhappy with MS's new phone OS. Anyone who develops and makes money from customization tools for WinMo 5x, 6x, etc... Anyone who uses these tools to build the perfect phone for their tastes... their screens, their sounds, their own interfaces... Win Series 7 kills all that. Kills personalization (beyond color scheme and background), and locks down the applications and OS to MS approved program (like Apple does with the iphone).

We're moving from total control over our WinMo devices, to letting Microsoft decide what's best.

As to the original poster... There are many advantages to the new 6.5.x roms. Much faster, smoother, and far better tactile response. New internet explorer (not that anyone uses it, Skyfire and Opera are much better), better memory management, and better interface options. Add WAD2, Mobile Shell, Pointsense, or any other UI customizer, and you can do anything on the device.

There are still WinMo 6.x devices coming out, but yeah, everyone is shifting gears to Win7 or Android.

In my opinion, Android is my best choice. My Omnia is running Winmo 6.5, build 23559, with WAD2, and an interface I designed myself. I want to pursue designing interfaces still, and Win7 isn't going to let me do that. Sooo... when the HTC Incredible hits the stores this week, I'm going 'Droid!

it was announced that winmo 6.6 will come out before the wm7.

it might be a speculation, but according to many sources, including devices presented past few months, there will be an update soon. it might even include a user interface upgrade.

Winmo devices are crap, .. shame; within 2 months i'm getting my new one .. rather not Android, Meamo or Brew .. but seems we're stuck with Google some more, .. makes it easier to find our phones back!?
