Guest Bouncer5 Posted April 26, 2010 Report Posted April 26, 2010 When my phone is charging by the mains when my finger rubs the bezel, I can feel the electricity running into my fingers, Not just my desire that does my friends does it and its not my plug, Design flaw or a flaw with me!
Guest kman123 Posted April 26, 2010 Report Posted April 26, 2010 This happens with my desire and my hero. Dont know what it could be though
Guest FloatingFatMan Posted April 27, 2010 Report Posted April 27, 2010 If you're genuinely getting current through the plastic bezel (highly unlikely), then you have a short circuit and should return the device immediately.
Guest Calamity James Posted April 27, 2010 Report Posted April 27, 2010 (edited) I get it too, it's more a sort of pulsing sensation when it's on charge. My uncle's laptop that he bought from America does exactly the same when it's plugged into the mains on the metal parts of it. Not quite the same (although the symptoms are identical) here: http://forums.xkcd.com/viewtopic.php?f=18&...p;view=previous (didn't expect to find something like that on XKCD!) Guest mariothecat Posted April 27, 2010 Report Posted April 27, 2010 The bezel on the Desire is made of some sort of metal and that may explain a slight tingling when you run your fingers on it and the phone is charging . I get the same feeling when i run my fingertips on my netbooks touch pad frame which is also made of metal.
Guest h00pyfr00d Posted April 28, 2010 Report Posted April 28, 2010 I get a similar feeling when I ride the bus and sit on the back seats where the engine vibration is strongest
Guest hrcro2 Posted April 28, 2010 Report Posted April 28, 2010 I had similar effect on my asus p750, hd2 and desire. They all "vibrated" when I touched their metal parts when charging. So I guess it is normal.
Guest JadeMonkee Posted April 28, 2010 Report Posted April 28, 2010 Yeah, I have this on my Hero, too. I'm glad someone else has it... I thought I was a little crazy. lol @h00pyfr00d
Guest afiorillo Posted April 28, 2010 Report Posted April 28, 2010 If I understand what you're depicting, I feel the same touching the case of my HP Notebook. However, I'm keeping touch my Desire in any known way, but no feelings.
