I was having a problem with creating a gold card on Saturday, and after Googling the error (usb), this unusual solution came up...

Close down your computer, and then disconnect the plug from the power supply for a few minutes. The reasoning was, the motherboard still draws current even when switched off but connected to the mains, this corrupts or stops something from clearing in the communication line.

Anyway, it worked for me and I dont think you've got anything to lose by trying it.

Finally done !

Downloaded TinyCore Linux Live MoDaCo CD, and no mistake at Step1 !

Great !

The biggest difficulty for me was the 1st use of a Linux Live CD, never done that before :P

Hello Paul,

I have rooted my phone previously with LiveCD method. It did work well for me.

When I currently tried to run the recovery mod with your new method (I actually took only the second step) all seemed fine (even though in some point CDM says "adb server is out of date. killing...") but when I try to move within the options using my optical track-ball - I am not allowed to. It actually does nothing. I have to remove the battery and restart the phone.

Any idea?

Thank you
