Intermittent tethering problems using ICS

I tether my Omnia via USB and ICS about 8 hours per day. Every so often, maybe once every two hours, I appear to lose name resolution... or at least that's what appears to be happening. My phone is still connected but I can no longer resolve IP addresses. Sometimes disconnecting and reconnecting ICS works, sometimes a soft reset is required. I'm running a i910 with a DC22 Waremike ROM on Verizon. I'm not sure if the issue is specific to Verizon, the Omnia, or Windows Mobile 6.5. I don't remember having the problem running 6.1 on my Titan on Verizon.

Any one with similar issues?

edit: this happens both on a Win XP machine and an Ubuntu machine so I don't believe it's related to an OS or individual computer.

edit #2: it's probably relevant that the problem also occurred with numerous interations of Bgill CF03 based ROMs as well so it doesn't appear to a ROM issue.
