Guest maati Posted April 28, 2010 Report Posted April 28, 2010 Good evening all :P Now that the Desire is rooted, I think there must be a way to solve this: If you own a Nexus One or Moto Droid, or have watched videos, you may have noticed that, from version 2.0, Android has got a nice animation for launching programs from the home screen. Unfortunately, HTC has removed this animation from the Desire. Simply switching to another launcher instead of HTC Sense, like Launcher2 or Helix, does not solve the issue. I want that animation back and I hope you can help. So, what can we try?

Guest maati Posted May 3, 2010 Report Posted May 3, 2010 (edited) Sorry, no, I don't mean the boot animation. Edited May 3, 2010 by maati
Guest poldie Posted May 10, 2010 Report Posted May 10, 2010 Anyone? :P Uh...I don't know what you mean (I have a Desire on Orange UK and have never seen any animations on other Android phones) but I don't want any more animations, thanks. Hope this helps.
Guest cTrox Posted May 11, 2010 Report Posted May 11, 2010 Just flash this rom and you should get the animations: http://forum.xda-developers.com/showthread.php?t=674218
Guest maati Posted May 11, 2010 Report Posted May 11, 2010 Thanks. This doesn't include any HTC apps, right? Like HTC Mail, Calendar and so on? Maybe I'll try to make a ROM based on this, but with the HTC stuff...
Guest encrypt Posted May 21, 2010 Report Posted May 21, 2010 I'm interested in this too... opened a thread on xda but noone interested... http://forum.xda-developers.com/showthread.php?t=685651 This is pretty simple to do if you have the knowledge.. I tried once but didn't work. You have to take the animations of a Nexus One rom of framework-res.apk and put it in the framework-res.apk of a Desire rom. Had these epic animations even on my Hero before (http://forum.xda-developers.com/showthread.php?p=6188954#post6188954)
Guest Bicets Posted May 21, 2010 Report Posted May 21, 2010 I really like those animation too... Btw i'm new to android's world, so I don't know how to do it...
Guest maati Posted May 25, 2010 Report Posted May 25, 2010 Just found out the solution yesterday: Replace Sense with LauncherPro. Done
