Guest Splather Posted April 29, 2010 Report Posted April 29, 2010 Hi all Put this on xda-developers but so far nobody seems to know... When I click a youtube link in the native browser on the Desire, it opens the video but in the flash player rather than the youtube app. I find this a bit annoying as you don't get options relating to quality etc. I tried resetting the defaults for the flash player, streaming media app and browser as well as the youtube client but I can't seem to get it to work. When using the Dolphin browser, I get the option to select how I want the phone to handle the link and I can use the youtube app just fine. But I prefer the native browser, and I just can't get it to work. It was fine on my HTC Hero, but the Desire just doesn't seem to want to play ball... Anyone got any idea how to get it working properly? Cheers Splath
Guest c00l3r Posted July 10, 2010 Report Posted July 10, 2010 I have the exact same problem and it's driving me nuts :) Youtube links in the browser are opened by the HTC Flash Player, which has a lower qualitiy video. Do all Desires have this issue? Is there really no fix?
