Guest roscoe141 Posted April 29, 2010 Report Posted April 29, 2010 Doesn't seem to matter what software I'm using. Sportpal, googlemaps, copilot etc etc, it still takes between 30 seconds to 3/4 minutes to connect. Has anyone else found this and if so found a fix?
Guest sollers Posted April 30, 2010 Report Posted April 30, 2010 Noone? For me it is 3 sec, sometimes more. I don't know what it depends on :/

Guest xhemp Posted May 6, 2010 Report Posted May 6, 2010 (edited) *Confused* By data do you mean G3 or the Mobile Network widget? Think he meant if you have a 3G/HSDPA (data connection) with your mobile operator. This speeds up the process of getting a fix. Edited May 6, 2010 by xhemp
Guest mooves Posted May 7, 2010 Report Posted May 7, 2010 (edited) Not sure which device you have but I had the same issue on my Australian delivered Telstra Desire. Even after I rooted it and applied Paul's HTC build and updates it still would drop. Speedo / my tracks / maps wouldn't work so I downloaded and installed the latest Telstra build from HTC. There is a forum on xda with download links. I think the fix was that the radio image was reapplied and has been a treat. If your device is an 850mhz version A8183 then try this if its not then there is an ruu_bravo_wwe_asia....exe available on this forum. I'll be rooting it again in the day or so and will let you know how I get on. Good luck. :P Doesn't seem to matter what software I'm using.
