A Few Problems Homescreen Customisation

1. I've installed the SDK but can't get the emulator to run, do i need to install the eVC? Or is there any other way in which a sample can be viewed without copying it to the phone? Its a pain copying to phone and testing :evil: :evil:

2.I can't seem to set the alignment of plug-ins. Even if i edit existing ones, where i just remove a plug-in and leave the x and y co-ordinates of everything else the same the alignment all changes :evil: Similarly the valign and halign don't seem to do anything :!: :!: :!: Any Suggestions :?: :?:

3.I was editing an existing layout and i just set the b-border of a plug in to 0 and when i loaded it on the phone it came up saying this is not a valid layout, please go to settings to select one :!: :!: :!: I then reverted to the original and tried changing the font-weight to normal and again the same thing happened :!: :!: :!:
