Guest pete.major Posted April 30, 2010 Report Posted April 30, 2010 Hey all, I tried searching but couldn't find an answer... Now we have root, is it possible to flash cyanogenmod? I really really really want the ability to play FLAC in the music player...

Wait till it's ported to Desire, which Paul said he's working on.
Guest AndyCr15 Posted April 30, 2010 Report Posted April 30, 2010 There's a Cyanogen Desire ROM? Where?
Guest magicpie1980 Posted April 30, 2010 Report Posted April 30, 2010 There's a Cyanogen Desire ROM? Where? Paul hasnt released it yet, he has previewed it but there is a problem with the auto brightness sensor, he has to fix that before its released.... To be honest i dont use auto brightness anyway!!! B
Guest AndyCr15 Posted April 30, 2010 Report Posted April 30, 2010 Does anyone know if it will still have Sense UI on it? I know some people don't like it, I prefer the shiny goodness.

Guest AndyCr15 Posted April 30, 2010 Report Posted April 30, 2010 Then you should have just bought a Nexus One  One of the main reasons I'm thinking to swap to the Desire is because of Sense... (that and physical buttons)
Guest Drefsab Posted April 30, 2010 Report Posted April 30, 2010 Im looking forward to a ROM that lets you choose the UI so you can swap and choose as you want

(that and physical buttons) How did i know you was gonna say that!!! I bought a desire, because i like the desire better, end of..... The desire also has physical buttons, and the Nexus touchscreen buttons are not very responsive. Now all i need is a Desire without sense and i will be happy;) B
Guest bohtan Posted April 30, 2010 Report Posted April 30, 2010 @pete.major too play FLAC you can use "andLess", just search Market
Guest Kris_cs1 Posted April 30, 2010 Report Posted April 30, 2010 Very much looking forward to the release! My phone hasn't even arrived yet!
Guest Sashimi Posted April 30, 2010 Report Posted April 30, 2010 Yes, get andless, it's pretty neat although the playback can get choppy sometimes and hw accel is not working atm on desire.
Guest pete.major Posted May 1, 2010 Report Posted May 1, 2010 @pete.major too play FLAC you can use "andLess", just search Market  Thanks for the suggestion... I tried andless before Christmas and I wasn't really impressed. At the time it looked a bit ratty and didnt play other music types if I remember correctly. That's the frustrating thing, a FLAC fix has been checked in to Android source for ages... on CM it integrates with existing players perfectly.
