Guest StuMcBill Posted April 30, 2010 Report Posted April 30, 2010 Probably a stupid question, but I thought I would ask. I have a Desire with HBOOT 0.75 (which is rootable), which I have not rooted yet. I assume the only thing that could update my HBOOT to the newer 0.80 (unrootable) version would either be a flash via my computer & HTC Sync, or via an OTA update from my mobile provider and / or HTC? There is no way downloading or updating an app from the market could do it? I have an unbranded and unlocked Desire on O2 from the carphone warehouse. Thanks and I apologise if this is a silly question?
Guest adabsurdum Posted April 30, 2010 Report Posted April 30, 2010 Why would you wan't to update your bootloader? I can't see any reason to update it. There won't be any benefits compared to 0.75. The only difference is the possibility to root it with 0.75 which you would loose. Higher numbers aren't always better. (My first post here^^)
