Guest andrew.mazlim Posted April 30, 2010 Report Posted April 30, 2010 (edited) There is a tiny application, called UITweaker. With that, you can change almost EVERYTHING (and I mean it!) in your SYSTEM (Windows) UI! You can easily activate any .tsk theme, wherever you keeping them in your phone (no need to copy-paste them in the main memory). You can easily edit wallpapers... But the MOST important is... you can change ANY - I repeat, ANY! - color in EVERY menu, sub-menu, any screen!!!! Any background/text/title/bar/selection... you can "color" them whatever you like! With this great application only! No need of themes and anything else... I spended some time to find different colors' themes for many apps like Resco Explorer or SKTools... No need, now! If you change the colors for a menu, this menu in EVERY application has the colors you like! I'll try to post my personal .tsk - totaly black wallpapers/backgrounds everywhere, with large and bright white texting! I hope you'll enjoy it. (Again, I don't know if this app exists elsewhere in the forum. Sorry for double posting, because I posted it in "JN Foundation" topic.) ΕDIT: 1) You'll find it more easier, if you LOAD/APLY an existing .tsk (theme) and then, change the colors of it. Generally, the only con of this app, is the lack of PREVIEW. So, you need to checking your changes, write down what you change (what color) and go on. 2) This is my .tsk I made with this app. Enjoy it and feel free to use it (or change it) wherever you like. Take it as an EXAMPLE and make your own. (I hope I uploaded the correct/final one). (CHECK #7, because I posted wrong theme from other user. Generally, I messed up with my themes. Hehehe).UI_Tweaker_v.0.5.4.4.CAB Edited May 3, 2010 by andrew.mazlim
Guest gman34 Posted May 1, 2010 Report Posted May 1, 2010 thanks for sharing! will try this once i get my omnia back from the service center!
Guest chopperthedog Posted May 1, 2010 Report Posted May 1, 2010 Not everything. Seems that with 6.1 on i910 the text while reading email is hard coded black as well as some pop up menus i.e. "would you like to view photos on storage card" also add remove programs menu is solid black. So if you change background to black and all the text to white a lot of things work and look great but one entry is not available. Tried awhile ago. good day.

I posted here (i9x0 Omnia) and thought this is working perfectly in both i900/i8000... In my i900, EVERY text is NOT hard coded black. You can edit whatever you like. So, I didn't know in i8000 there is hard coded issues in the visual part. Did you try my "BlackTheme" (I hope it's the... final, not a test! Hahaha)? In my theme, I changed EVERYTHING in black (backgrounds), in EVERY menu/submenu/popup, with white coloring in EVERY text and some parts (menu bars) in dark red. I HOPE you'll find a way and make your menus as you like. At least, if some parts of i8000s are hard coded, don't make ALL the parts in black; do them "HTC Diamond-like" (part black-part white). (Also, bro, you need more than "few try" with this app. It took me over 2-3 hrs to finally succeed my idea I had in mind. You need to spend some serious time - in first.) Thxs for trying it. I hope I'll get more feedbacks from you, soon. Edited May 1, 2010 by andrew.mazlim
Guest andrew.mazlim Posted May 1, 2010 Report Posted May 1, 2010 thanks for sharing! will try this once i get my omnia back from the service center! The friend above reported some hard coded issues, friend. If you using i900 (like me), you'll not have any problem. At least, I haven't.

Check these, friend. They are my test 1 & 2. (I have saved all the .tsk themes in a single directory in my computer. Even MINE! And I didn't remember that link's theme... I may have to "tidy up" my PC, some day!) Btw, this theme above is for 6.1.My_Themes.rar Edited May 1, 2010 by andrew.mazlim
Guest andrew.mazlim Posted May 2, 2010 Report Posted May 2, 2010 (edited) If anyone trying it, let share with us some screens to see what he made. It's not very easy to use it in the first time (you'll spend 2-3 hrs to understand it), but when you learn it, you'll make splendid themes, unique. I'm happy with G-Carbon of K.Radd's now, but I'll see if I can apply my "TotalBlack" theme, just to show you my result with UI Tweaker. (Sorry again, that I posted some other's theme as my own, but I have so many files downloaded in my computer and they all mixed together. Don't remember the fellow he made that theme, but I apologizing myself to him.) Edited May 2, 2010 by andrew.mazlim

Guest andrew.mazlim Posted May 3, 2010 Report Posted May 3, 2010 Hi. I want to cange the text color in m2d tab message from white to black but I can´t find an option for it  This app is changing the SYSTEM's colors, not any UI you're using. It change the WINDOWS colors... M2D has countless files for each skin/theme; you should edit them. I also want to transparent some parts and I don't know how.

Maybe edit your top post.. My friend, I'll edit it; but, I think we don't need a high IQ level to understand, this is about the "original" UI of a rom, about the system's colors. Why you didn't check in the Net to see this app's site? This app is NOT mine; I DIDN'T create it myself; I just wanted to share it with you. Why nobody else didn't "understand" this UI Tweaker is changing M2D? Why, if you chearch the Web about "M2D editor", this application will NOT come up? Sorry if I was tough on you, but when I found this app, I didn't "understand" this changing... SPB Shell's or PointUI's colors! If this tiny app is... "Harry Potter's magic wand", they wouldn't be so many editing progs fror the major UIs, like M2D, SPB Shell and other... I believe, most of the users didn't thought like you. Again, I'm apologizing myself for my temper. Edited May 3, 2010 by andrew.mazlim
Guest andrew.mazlim Posted May 3, 2010 Report Posted May 3, 2010 Btw, friends... I tried the two screen capture apps I have, but since I never used them I don't know how to take screens. (How in the hell this "Shake & Save" is working???) Please, can you tell me, suggest me, a nice and not complicated app, to capture some pics? Is there any app like that, with soft keys mapping? I don't understand how to... shake and take a pic! I did it and almost drop my phone to the floor!

It is so great for adding themes and editing on your phone! No worries - I try to be patient with everybody here (even when I think people should know) because a lot of people don't speak english that well and a lot of this is probably a little confusing for them (and that make it seam like they have a low IQ haha) I only suggested the edit so other people dont get confused... thanks for posting (now make some M2D themes!!!)

Guest Pearl Jam Posted May 3, 2010 Report Posted May 3, 2010 Of course, I need to "play" with it a bit longer... Awesome! Can you tell me how you got your start menu like that?!
Guest andrew.mazlim Posted May 3, 2010 Report Posted May 3, 2010 (edited) Awesome! Can you tell me how you got your start menu like that?! Meaning??? This is K.Radd's Honeycomb Start menu! I've seen (horizontal Honeycomb) before, but NOT so beautiful like K.Radd's! (There is an app too, similar like that. It's the Panoramic LaunchPad v.1.6.3! Awesome app, too! You should take a look to it!) Mate, can you tell me how can I change (also, lol!) the scrolling M2D bar bellow the Notifications' pannel? (See above, my Home page). It's also has a carbon texture. What's the name of this .png? EDIT 1: Pearl Jam, take a look there and tell me if you can help me on this: http://www.modaco.com/content/i900-general...x/#entry1260245 EDIT 2: No need, they gave me a hand. This is what Im asking about. This start menu has only 1 line of icons and no honeycomb look. Can you provide me a link to this please? What are you trying to do with your slider icon? If you open the folder of your extracted theme and right click> view thumbnails you should be able to see all of the icons used for the theme. The big icons (ex. hh_fw_bigicon_home) are the icons that show up top when you scroll The black icons next to these icons in the theme are the mask icons (only the white part inside of these will allow the image of the big icon to show through) The small icons that are black and white (ex hh_fw_tabbg_home) are the icons on the bottom bar when NOT selected...these also have mask images that go along with them, the same as the big icons The medium icons that follow (ex hh_fw_tabicon_home) are the icons that appear when the tab is over top of them - these also have mask layers that allow the object to show through THe actual tab icon itself consists of two icons hh_fw_tabbtn, and its mask hh_fw_tabbtn_mask You just have to mess around with the images to get something you want....download themes with different sliders and icons to see how they are different (you can copy and paste any icons from one theme to another once you unzip it - and then when you are done you need to archive it (zip it) back up to use it.

I know (I thought so), you asking for this Honeycomb, but I don't own it. It's K.Radd's feature; he found it in Xda-developers and re-created like that. Don't have it, sorry. You may seek it in Xda-dev. forum. I made them all!!!!! I modified all the files I need. The only "problem" is, I tried to COPY/PASTE them into the /Windows folder directly and the message said I can't replace them!!!!!! (All I need, is 5-6 bloody files to replace, not the entire theme!!!!) Any idea how to replace them? I don't want to re-create a new theme; just to edit/replace the exist one.

Dude - it's so easy :P This is what I do: 1) I make a new folder and name it **** theme replacements (**** = whatever the name of your theme is - doesnt really matter) 2) I edit the files in the current theme (one at a time) 3) After I edit one file, I click save as... and I open up the actual theme and find the image I am replacing (I make sure that the image save format is the correct one (usually PNG) and right click once Im in the theme folder to view thumbnails (makes it easier to identify the file to be replaced) 5) click on the file that you will be replacing (only click once on it - so that the name of that file appears in the "save as file name" (this is to ensure you have the correct file name) 6) then click the up folder to get out of the original theme 7) open up the folder you created > ***theme replacements and save the file in there 8) repeat for all of the files you wish to edit 9) again open up the **** theme replacement folder > select all > copy 10) go to the main theme folder > right click > paste > these files already exist blah blah > YES to replace ***make sure you make a copy of the original them and keep it somewhere else before you start replacing files (like "original themes" folder)

Also, another odd thing; I opened another theme to edit that, renamed the m2dct to rar (with subfolder inside). I opened the rar and I could... "see" only the subfolder, NOT the other files! I thought there were no files, but they are! They're just "invisable"! It's getting really annoying, not be able to replace 4-5 damn .png!!!
