Several weird problems with the Desire?

Hi,

my girlfriend has got her Desire a week or 2 ago and is experiencing some issues which I saw myself.

• during a call she suddenly hears crackling noise and the connection is broken
  
• sometimes the screen doesn't respond, like when she gets a call and need to slide down the screen to answer nothing happens
  
• weird thing.. sometimes when she gets a call she gets and "Accept, Decline" buttons and the other times "slide up or down"
  

it's driving her (and me) mad because we have no idea what is going on..

is anybody else experiencing these (or any) of these issues?

does anybody have an idea where to look?

The only thing I can help with is the "accept/Decline" problem, if your phone is locked, it will show the slide to answer screen, but if your phone is unlocked i.e. you are using it, it will show the accept decline screen. it's normal.

can;t help with the other two, 1st one network issue, 2nd on hardware issue?

I noticed the accept/decline thing on my Hero too but never thought it had something to do with locked/unlocked so thanks for clearing that out!

She still has an old sim card (yeeaaarrsss old...) so we'll probably start by switching it for a new one next week, perhaps that changes something..

I was just wondering if anybody else was experiencing issues before taking all sorts of action :huh:

but still, if anybody has similar issues please speak up :P

I'll keep you posted on how it goes here as the crackling noise and network drops are daily
