Guest squrl Posted May 1, 2010 Report Posted May 1, 2010 Some root apps don't work on my rooted Desire, for example drocap2 leaves this overlay when taking a screenshot: and Quick Boot does'nt work either, when I tap on any of the buttons, nothing happens. Both apps are granted SU permnissions through "Superuser permissions" app. Any suggestions? Thanks, --squrl
Guest afiorillo Posted May 1, 2010 Report Posted May 1, 2010 The actual Desire root is not a "complete" one, you still cannot have write access to key system directories. So, some apps will likely fail.
Guest squrl Posted May 2, 2010 Report Posted May 2, 2010 "reboot" command does not work in the terminal either, so it's because this command needs write acces to /system? what does it write there?
Guest folgui Posted May 2, 2010 Report Posted May 2, 2010 "reboot" command does not work in the terminal either, so it's because this command needs write acces to /system? what does it write there? I use "boot control" widget and it works ok with paul's root and desire. Regards, folgui.

Guest squrl Posted May 2, 2010 Report Posted May 2, 2010 Nope, I mean in the Terminal emulator app, straight on the device.
