Guest kimitza Posted May 1, 2010 Report Posted May 1, 2010 (edited) Hello guys. After flashing countless times my omnia, today i've encoutered an issue . In the middle of the flashing, the power turned off. I was using GrandPrix. I've tried to start the process again, but GP gives me this error Downloading EBOOT... Eboot : Write to SDRAM FAIL!!! Download failed!! the battery was full. i never had any problems. What can i do? Can it be repaired? Is there a way to do it myself or do i have to go to a service center? Or my omnia is gone..:P Thank you Edited May 1, 2010 by kimitza
Guest raidenbr Posted May 2, 2010 Report Posted May 2, 2010 (edited) first of all, calm down... remove the battery and put it again for a complete shut down. If you turn on your phone and the omnia logo appears, it's possible to revert that. Charge your phone for 1 hour using the power cable. After that, the first try is to do a hard reset on the device: 1. Turn on your phone 2. With your right hand Press and hold the reset button (using your stylus) 3. While pressing and holding the reset, press the "call" and "end" button with your left hand. (maybe this doesn't work if you're left-handed ) If nothing happens, you may have to try this some times to get practice. 4. A message to confirm the reset should appear, so, press the "call" button. Your device should recover after that. Now you can verify what you possibly did wrong to fail your flashing and do it again. Of course, restart your computer first. Edited May 2, 2010 by raidenbr
Guest kimitza Posted May 2, 2010 Report Posted May 2, 2010 thanks alot. I've manage to solve the problem. It seems the new battery i;ve bought it's a cheap copy. And the seller (UK) told me it was the real deal ) Appearently not all the UK ebay sellers are honest. I've inserted the old battery and it worked. I was a litle scared, but now everything is ok.
