Guest Steve7 Posted May 2, 2010 Report Posted May 2, 2010 Well seems to be believable 1st week of may for Hero users We'll just have to wait n see... http://www.androidguys.com/2010/05/01/andr...-sprint-phones/
Guest soopahfly Posted May 5, 2010 Report Posted May 5, 2010 IF and that's a big if, this is released when they say it will....why the hell will it take another 3 months to convert it to a GSM rom??
Guest trstn Posted May 5, 2010 Report Posted May 5, 2010 Just to throw this out there..... Android 2.2 is due to drop in June isn't it? Wouldn't it be mad crazy if HTC was delaying the update not because they can't be bothered giving Hero users 2.1 until June, but because they're working on delivering 2.2 as it goes out on all other handsets. Fragmentation is a massive problem in the android ecosystem, that'd solve it fairly decisively wouldn't it. But hey, who knows. I love my Hero, when it's updated I'll get the new Modaco, til then I'm not too worried.

They delayed this release for so long because they skipped 1.6 and went straight to 2.0, and now 2.1. If they delayed it to 2.2 then we'd be looking at September or October as a release date considering the speed the devs work at.

So HTC will keep promise a new version, and delay it forever LOL :P BR MKrogh
