Boot loop

Just followed all the steps to root and install aps2sd and now i'm stuck in a boot loop. Have i missed something?

Have you put in the SD card you're going to use for A2SD? Have you partitioned your SD card appropriately?

Make sure the ext partition is NOT EXT4

Just pull out your SD card from the Desire and see if this let it boot again. If this is the case, restart the whole rooting procedure from scratch, including rebuilding a goldcard: something went wrong.

Still a boot loop with no sd card. Partition was EXT4 but would that matter when i've pulled the card?

And what if you reinsert the goldcard?

Looks like it was the whole ext4 thing as i just left it as ext2 and all went well!!

Congrats! Up it to ext3 for better performance if you like (I'd suggest it) - but stop short of going to ext4 again. :huh:

Will it delete the stuff i have got on there? I already lost everything...stupid me! Or will it just change the filesystem leaving files intact?
