Guide for making custom rom ???

Hi all,

May I know is there a guide for making custom rom?

I want to learn and make custom rom for my desire.

I might as well post it out if the rom is good to use.

Also what equipment/software I need to make rom?

I have a macbook pro only, but can use VMware to run linux or windows.
