Converting divx video to mpeg for watching on the spv

Any ideas? I know to to set mpegs up for watching on an spv but divx wont work on windows media encoder?

Use VirtualDub to re-encode for small size and set compression to a simple codec like none, cinepak or Intel Indeo then use WMEnc.exe (microsoft encoder - free from micropoo) to convert to .wmv

I use media encoder 9 to convert straight from divx to wmv.

Pros and Cons:

WME9 will convert straight from DivX, WME7 won't, but WME7 includes the codec MPEG4 v3, WME9 doesn't, and I personally feel its the best codec.
