Which Custom ROM?

Hi,

I have a T-mobile Pulse. Would it be possible to intstall the ROM from the HTC Hero on it (from here) and will it be fully functional? I want to do this because i like the HTC sense UI and know it will definately be updated quicker than the stock pulse ROM. If this will not work please could someone suggest a custom ROM that has simular features (multi touch, sense UI etc) that will work on my phone.

You have the option of stock rom or MCR only so far.

I went out and traded my pulse in for a Hero.

I asume that means that the Hero's one wont work?

What is MCR?

Where did you trade them? and did it cost anything extra?

I traded mine in @ cex, didnt cost extra as I got one with a worn case and was locked, my pulse was mint and unlocked.

So I've been looking at the MCRs. Will they be updated to 2.1 when huawei release the official update, and when updates are released will I have to do a fresh install every time or is there an easier way to update? Also? is there a chance of it including any additional features (e.g. multi-touch).

Going from 1.5 to 2.1 will probably require a full wipe.

Multi-touch on the Pulse isn't possible, the hardware used by the screen cannot support it.

I'm sure Paul or one of the other talented people on here will release some form of rooted 2.1 for the Pulse.

If you know that for sure you should post it in the multi touch thread as there's been a lot of conflicting information about it, Huawei saying it is possible but they won't do it, people finding untested multitouch code in the kernel, etc.

Somewhere in these forums it says that because the pulse has a capacitative touch screen it can do multi-touch...

So if someone wanted to they could try and put multi-touch on it if his is the case
