Hello masters and gurus,

I've been reading and trying a lot of apps and ROMs for the past months but there seems to be a common behavior no matter what ROM I try.

The Samsung keypad (the keypad with letters grouped in two) won't work for all applications. On my i900 it will work for built-in WiMo apps such as SMS/MMS, email, phonebook, calendar etc but not for third party apps suck as Opera, where it enables only numbers, but not letters (see below). Then I have to use the full qwerty one, which has tiny keys in portrait mode, a pain for those with large thumbs. Does anyone knows if it's possible to enable the letters on Samsung Keypad for all apps?

Some of you might argue that there are several other keyboards (which I have tried), but unfortunately most of them don't have T9 dictionaries for brazilian portuguese... So if someone could shed some light it'll be much appreciated!! :P

i too would love to see this answered/ explained.... bugs me to no end, doesnt seem to happen when i use opera 9.5 though, just the newer beta, went back to 9.5 because it runs better but the keyboard issue was aggravating as well

Thanks for the info nmayer79, I didn't recall whether the Samsung keypad was working on Opera 9.5 or not, I'll try to downgrade it as a workaround... I'll also try downgrading google maps to see if it works...

PS: I know this is an old thread, but I was out for almost a month so I'll also use this as an excuse for a follow up...
