How can i install an app to the system/app from adb

Make a .zip and in it do /system/app/your-app.apk Or wherever you want it to go, move to root of SD card and then enter recovery mode and flash it.

You must have root :P

FOLLOW EXACLY AS THIS COULD BRICK YOUR PHONE IF YOU DO IT WRONG!!!!

1. Make a new zip file
   
2. Make a folder called system
   
3. Another one called app
   
4. Place your app in this folder
   

We are now creating an update.zip which we can flash in recovery mode.

As you can see, the update.zip has the same file structure as your android phone so if we wanted to install something to /data then we make a folder called data.

1. Now transfer that to the root of your SD card
   
2. Enter recovery mode by using my guide (link below)
   
3. choose 'flash update from sd card' and select your .zip you transfered
   
4. Let it run
   
5. You're Done! :P

Wouldn't your account settings be deleted on a factory reset anyway, rendering the app useless?

I'm not sure the thief will do that with your Lookout app ... :P

once ur logged in only way to log out is uninstall

so if i can get it in system folder ... no one can ever log it out.

and how many theifs kno how to enter recover mode and wipe data ?

and can sum1 give me a file to sign a zip

i need an autosign for linux

and it wont let me flash the update zip because its not signed

What? I guess it saves the settings in /data/data, and gets reset if somebody clears the phone?
