Guest Delta1292 Posted May 5, 2010 Report Posted May 5, 2010 hi, so i wiped my phone ages ago and installed the 1.7 custom rom (not the t-mobile style) and recently i copied the data after my sd card then partioned my 2GB sd card into a 368mb ext2 and 0mb swap the rest being ntfs, i then coppied my data back to my sd card and ran apps 2 sd. So its all working fine, only problem being i now have a message saying google maps isnt working when i boot my phone and the market won't work anymore. anyone got any ideas??
Guest hadley Posted May 5, 2010 Report Posted May 5, 2010 Yes I ran into the same two problems. To install apps from the market again, you need to boot into recovery mode and do a "repair sd partition". To fix your non-functional google maps, I don't know. I solved it by wiping and re-installing the 1.7 custom ROM. I now leave the custom ROM on my sdcard, in case I need to re-flash it again. hi, so i wiped my phone ages ago and installed the 1.7 custom rom (not the t-mobile style) and recently i copied the data after my sd card then partioned my 2GB sd card into a 368mb ext2 and 0mb swap the rest being ntfs, i then coppied my data back to my sd card and ran apps 2 sd. What do you mean by "ran apps2sd" ? As far as I can see apps2sd is transparent in the custom roms. You don't need to do anything - just create the right partions. As mentioned above though - you need to run a ext repair when ever you cause the sd card to unmount - eg on reboots. Edited May 6, 2010 by Daz555
Guest Delta1292 Posted May 6, 2010 Report Posted May 6, 2010 well after creating the partitions my phone memory was still near empty so after booting into recovery mode under other there is the option for "move apps+dalv to sd" and clicked on that - worked fine just now i cant access any of my google apps - mail, maps, market etc
