Problems with data connection

I have some problems with my mobile network. I keep it disabled most of the time to save costs. Whenever i want to enable it again, it doesn't do anything and i have to restart my phone or turn "airplane mode" on and off to make it work again. I have read many forums and there are apparently more people with this problem. My APN settings are 100% correct.

i have contacted HTC several times about this. The best solution they could give me was the following one:

Go to settings->Wireless & networks->mobile networks and then enable "enable always-on mobile data connection"

i didn't help me at all... :-( I hope someone here knows a solution for this problem.

This is a commonly reported bug on all HTC Desire phones.. All we can do is wait for HTC to send us a patch or a new version of android.

Thx for your answer, but that is what is also tought, i was just hoping someone here would be able to fix ti... i hope they will get this fixed asap, it's an anoying problem...
