Active Sync/Hard resets and general odd behaviour...

I just bought an SPV and it works like a charm! Well actually there was some weird 'bug' in it, that wouldn't allow me to enter the settings for turning off and on the lights, I took it in to Orange, and they probably did a hard reset for me - and now it works like a super charm! I fooled around with programs/unlocking/regedit and tweaks .. and most of it works!

Anyways .. my friend bought one as well, and she's having majoy problems with Active Sync, at the beginning it would sync all of the 4 'programs' .. but it didn't sync the contacts! I think it was the oulook contactlist that was messing it up. All of a sudden it wouldn't sync 3 of the 4 options at all, it just said 'check device' where a lil icon stating that there was a sync error.

I tried reinstalling active sync, and it didn't help, I tried doing a hard reset, but it doesn't show 'Card found" .. and there is only 1 option after that "Press any key to enter boot loader" - then the 3 colors appear, but when you turn on the phone again, it's just like it was before I tried doing the hard reset!!

Should I just go and return the phone ... or am I making an obvious mistake!?

And guides/FAQs on Active Sync out there!?

Also there is a bug with the Outlook 2000 that we installed .. apparently tehre was already outlook 6 on it .. so I should probably remove that!?

Oh well .. lots of things we need to work on before she can have as much joy with her phone .. as I do with mine!
